Paterson (Jim Jarmusch, 2016)

Very fine indeed. Aggressively understated, but manages to be subtle without simply undercutting expectations - though it does have a nice line in not fulfilling expectations and then innocently pretending never to have created them. Has also sent me back to the William Carlos Williams poem of the same name, for which I'm grateful.
